Contact lenses, fitted to your eyes
A contact lens fitting at Visura Eye Care in South Yarra measures your eyes, matches a lens to your prescription and routine, and checks the fit on the eye.
How does a contact lens fitting work?
A contact lens fitting is separate from a standard eye exam. The optometrist measures the curve and size of the cornea, checks the tear film and chooses a lens type that suits your prescription, eye health and how often you plan to wear them.
Most people can wear contact lenses, including people with astigmatism (toric lenses) and people who need help with near vision (multifocal lenses). A trial pair is worn first, and a follow-up visit checks comfort, vision and eye health before you order a supply.
Who is it for?
- People who want an alternative to glasses for sport or work
- People with astigmatism looking for toric lenses
- Adults over 40 who need help reading and prefer not to wear readers
- Current wearers with dry or uncomfortable lenses
